Our Speech Pathologists provide in-home support to assess, diagnose and provide therapy for children and adults with speech, voice, language, social and cognitive communication disorders. They also support adults with swallowing disorders and mealtime management plans.

Social Skill-building

SERVICES WE PROVIDE & SPECIALISED THERAPY

  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) > assessment to identify appropriate low- or high-tech options (sign, eye-gaze; iPad applications). Ongoing personalization. Family and support team training.

  • Swallowing Assessments > Swallowing and mealtime assessments. Creation of mealtime management plans. Education regarding texture modified diets and thickened fluids.

​

  • Communication Assessments > assessment of speech, language, voice, social communication and cognitive communication difficulties. Comprehensive reporting.

​​

  • In Home Therapy > Therapy targeting producing clear speech (dysarthria/articulation disorders); producing words fluently (stuttering); reading and writing (literacy skills); finding the right words (aphasia); understanding others (receptive language).

​

  • Specialised Therapy > Our Speech Pathologists have completed extra certifications in: Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT), LOUD Crowd and Speak Out! (for Parkinson’s Disease); Sheppard Dysphagia Resource
    DDS/DMSS certification; Sounds Write (Literacy); Key Word Sign (AAC).

  • Training > Ongoing training and education with families and support teams around AAC, communication strategies, mealtime management and more.
